Russell Square House

From Achitect Stiff + Trevillion

Russell Square House was built in the 1940s to provide accommodation for services personnel. It was refurbished for office use in the late 1980s but the services have generally reached the end of their useful life and all of the office accommodation requires an overhaul.

Stiff and Trevillion were commissioned to design and implement the extension and full refurbishment of the property resulting in 200m2 NIA retail and 6,000 m2 NIA of new grade A office accommodation.

The proposals involve an in-fill garden floor link to extend the office accommodation, combine smaller disparate office suites and provide improved external amenity areas. The interior design has been derived from the period of the building allowing the new Cat A fit out to compliment and enhance the existing features of the building.
