Old castle in a new look

Castle "De Cellen" with mafi "BEECH Vulcano Fresco Rombo"

The Belgian castle "De Cellen" from 1873 is idyllically embedded in a beautiful park near Bruges.

Because of a complete redesign by Inge Hoorne of B7 Interior Design this object receives a very special magic now.

With the 3D wall and floor coverings from mafi the architect sets a strong contrast to the still existing old elements from another era. The combination of the warm and deep brown mafi "BEECH Vulcano Fresco Rombo" with its three-dimensional surface in rhombic form with the modelled ceilings, the artful mosaics and old wood floors creates an exciting interplay between old and new.

The Rombo pattern is created on the planks with a precise machine finishing. The design runs endlessly across the individual planks and has found a place not only on the wall but also on the floor. The original character of the old castle has been maintained, through new modern materials and also high-tech elements have been chosen for this new room concept.
