MORIQ’S AMWAJ VILLA IS CONTEMPORARY EYE CANDY IN BAHRAIN

A family home composed of straight lines and geometric volumes

Sometimes we like to do a bit of architectural ogling, and Amwaj Villa is perfect ogling material. Designed by MORIQ, Amwaj Villa is a contemporary family home in Amwaj, Bahrain. The three-level home is composed of various geometric volumes that join together in a harmonious three-dimensional structure.

Per the client’s demand, particular attention was paid to the interior design and to creating a strong link between interior and exterior. Floor-to-ceiling windows, double-height volumes and shifted levels create an impression of space and resonance between inside and out. Every room has a direct access to and visual contact with the exterior.

A interior pallet of neutrals creates a blank slate that is interrupted by strategically placed wallpaper. Emphasis was placed on scale and proportion rather than ornamentation to cultivate a simple, streamlined aesthetic that reflects the straight lines and mathematical volumes of the exterior.
