A modern marriage between interior and exterior

Singapore-based Park + Associates does fantastic things with contrast. Just take a peek at Mimosa Road, a residence located in the northern part of Singapore. By using highly contrasted wood, stone and glass, the architects created impressive volume in the four-bedroom house. They also created a strong link between the interior and exterior of the structure with expansive openings and direct access to sun decks, vegetation and water elements for each room on the ground floor. Finally, an important dialogue was created between the common living space and the rest of the house through various second story vantage points. Overall, the various conversations between exterior and interior, the various rooms and materials, creates a harmonious and modern haven.
