INFINSKI’S MANIFESTO

A physical manifestation of Infinski's own manifesto

There’s something appreciable about the fact that Infinski‘s Manifesto House is named as such. Most likely due to the fact that Infinski’s own manifesto is founded on sustainability and affordability, and their Manifesto recycled pallet house in Curacaví, Chile, is a testament to their ethos.

Both inside and out, Manifesto was created using 85% recycled, reused and eco-friendly materials. Recycled cellulose and cork serve as insulation, while recycled metals, ecological paint and ceramics create structure and adorn the dwelling.

Relying on bioclimatic architecture, the project started from a prefabricated and modular base to ensure an affordable and quick-to-construct dwelling that also allows for simplified future modifications. Three maritime containers form the base. A container cut into two parts and insulated with thermo glass forms the first level and effectively creates a bridge shape with the second level, which provides extra space, a luminous interior and a natural ventilation system.

Manifesto’s ventilated exterior is made from sustainable wooden panels on one side and recycled shipping pallets on the other. The panels can open in the winter to allow for sunlight or close in the summer to protect the interior from the heat.

With its bioclimatic design and the addition of alternative energy systems, Manifesto is 70% autonomous. Along with the brilliant architects at James & Mau and the interior styling of Cómodo Studio, Infinski created an attractive, affordable and sustainable example of eco-friendly housing done right.
