COPEHAGEN DESIGN DELIGHT: HOTEL SP34 BY MORTEN HEDEGAARD

A new luxury design hotel in Copenhagen's free-spirited Latin Quarter

A brand new design hotel has opened its doors in Copenhagen’s Latin Quarter: Hotel SP34. Hotel SP34 is the third addition to the award-winning Danish design hotel chain Brøchner Hotels and is the refurbishment of the chain’s artsy, bohemian Hotel Fox.

Hotel SP34 keeps the bohemian and adds some chic. Lots of chic. Danish designer and architect Morten Hedegaard was brought in to undertake the transformation. Sleek and uncomplicated, the design is punctuated with classic Wegner chairs, leather cushions and impeccable lighting.

The hotel has 118 rooms and a two-storey conference center that seats 100. It also boasts two restaurants, two bars and a fitness center as well as a private cinema that can host up to twenty five guests.

Scattered throughout the hotel are quiet spaces that let guests work or relax peacefully. For those that like to socialize, the stadium seating at bar/reception area is the perfect spot.

And the very best part? A rooftop terrace! Or, wait, perhaps it’s the daily wine hour from 5PM to 6PM. Yes, definitely the wine. Either way, rooms are available starting at 1441 DKK.
