Good architecture tells a story, and the Sun House’s story begins with the letter L. The lush but irregular landscape required special treatment and, boy, did Guz Architects deliver. An L-shaped structure helps the property capitalize on a delicate balance struck between privacy and openness. The building cradles a breezy courtyard that overflows with luscious Singaporean flora, as well as ponds and a pool that act as cooling elements for the project. Throw in a green roof and an open-air floor plan, and this home seems like it just grew right out of the ground.
