A modern remake of a 1960's classic in Sydney, Australia
The cinema industry is not the only one to transform old ideas into new ones. Australian architecture firm MCK Architects made a remake of a 1960’s home, transposing it into contemporary architecture for our modern era. Indeed, the old house has been replaced by a brand new version of itself that allowed the architects to emphasize connection. But the mix between the ideas of two eras really brings something more. Besides the various wood and stone textures beautifully blending together, the space and the light combine to create a sensation of security and complete privacy that is the most striking in this house. The pool and the flourishing garden are just another perk!
