CONAN HOUSE BY MOON HOON

A whimsical modern house in South Korea

The Conan House by Moon Hoon is a residence for a one-child family, built overlooking Bang Dong Lake in South Korea. It looks more like a modern art museum than a home but is deep down a big, ol’ fun house. This is playful architecture at its best, friends. A starch-white spiral staircase encompasses the structure’s central core, which rises through the voluminous space to connect all of the rooms in the house. The impressive staircase not only opens up the compact structure, but serves as a display case for the client’s collection of miniature robots and figures. Pops of red and yellow lend a youthful vibe to the interior…and there’s a slide! Beyond a doubt, this must be South Korea’s most wanted sleepover destination. That kid has got some lucky friends.
