CLUNY PARK HOUSE BY GUZ ARCHITECTS

A bright, open dream house in the urban jungle of Singapore

Brazil and its architects don’t have the monopoly on dream houses! You might think that open houses that are one with the surrounding nature, cutting the air smoothly with straight lines of wood or stone and confronting the sky with bright blue swimming pools could only exist in South America. And yet, Guz Architects built the Cluny Park House in Singapore. The similar environment might explain the ressemblance. High temperatures and lack of air encouraged the architects to orient the house so that breezes would be welcome! Then taking into consideration the fact that it is a family house, and the client wished to build a place where family could interact, they gave the house a feeling of freedom and openness. At last, the presence of nature inside as well as outside counterbalances the dense urban environment of Singapore. Who said you couldn’t dream in the city?
