Restoration of Catalonia Hotel

Vine leaf shaped texture took place in the restoration of Catalonia Hotel.

ULMA Architectural Solutions has been involved in the restoration of the Catalonia Passeig de Gràcia Hotel in Barcelona using the Facade system made of polymer concrete.

It is a building of the late XIX century, in which was decided to retain many elements of the original structure, such as its spectacular façade, which shows intact tiles inspired by vine leaves.

ULMA Architectural Solutions has lined the common areas like the pool terrace and dining room. Architects Jacinto Arqués Fusté and Romà Arañó i Güell were looking for a material that could line both inside and outside areas, characteristic of the ULMA façade made of polymer concrete.

The new decor included a nod on the original essence of the facade, which is why the architects selected a vine leaf shaped texture of CREAKTIVE range in white. It has been combined with the stone texture of EARTH VANGUARD range in greyish colour M19.

The author of the project architect Jacinto Arques Fusté used the ULMA facade for the restoration of the Hotel Catalonia Ramblas in Pelai Street 28, Barcelona.
