Loft style apartment

Loft style apartment by Studio Nurit Leshem

The owners of the apartment are a couple who moved to Tel Aviv from a single-family house.

The apartment covers an area of approximately 200 sqm and is located in one of the upper floors of a building with a beautiful open view.

The apartment was designed in "loft" style with large open spaces, fully utilizing the height of the ceiling. The minimalistic background was created in order to contain the owner's art objects and collections.

Along the length of the corridor iron pillars were "planted", giving rhythm and an interesting edge to the corridor leading to the bedrooms. The floor looks like smoothed concrete, but is made of very large porcelain tiles which create a unified look.

The guest room opens with transparent sliding doors towards the corridor. This kind of opening made the corridor look shorter and filled it with light.

When the guest room is in use, it is possible to unroll an electric curtain from the ceiling and create intimacy in the space.

For the bedrooms a "fishbone parquet" was chosen, which creates a warm appearance and integrates with the other, grey-shaded floorings in the house.

The bathroom floors are made of basaltina stone, a natural stone from Italy. The entrance wall and one of the master bedroom's walls were plastered with concrete plaster in a tone which also interlaces with the other materials used in the house.
