VODAFONE HEADQUARTERS PORTO

The expressive façade and building structure is more reminiscent of a monument or sculpture than a head office.

The company slogan of ”Vodafone Life, Life in Motion“ has found architectural expression in the construction of the Vodafone Group headquarters in Portugal by architects Barbosa & Guimarães from Porto. Folded, white concrete shells are alternated with mirror-like window areas flush-fitted in the façade, giving the building an acute plasticity that seems to be fully in motion. Concrete is also employed extensively for the interior, with walls and pillars shaped from massive concrete slabs.
