A hotel in Sweden gets a pavilion draped with perforated aluminium

The Common Office have designed a pavilion for the Best Western Hotel Baltic, in Sundsvall, Sweden.

The designer’s description

Sundsvall’s 1900s traditional cityscape is characterized by the classicistic architecture.

The expression of the pavilion borders architecture of the contemporary and the past.

Similar to a baldaquin, the pavilion is draped with cloth of perforated aluminium.

The perforated aluminum sheets give the building different expressions depending on the light and time of the day.
