MICHAEL HERMANN’S PARISIAN DUPLEX

A rare Parisian paradise

Call off the search. We’ve officially found the perfect Parisian apartment, and it belongs to a certain Michael Hermann. His Parisian duplex has a transparent glass floor. What more needs to be said? While it’s probably not ideal for sufferers of vertigo, the glass floor, aside from being seriously cool, creates an impression of volume, while the glass courtyard façade lets natural light permeate the entire structure. The glass also provides contrast and lightness to the rough-hewn stone walls and authentic wooden beams, beautifully balancing modern with traditional. Another key detail? A vegetal wall in the courtyard that adds much-appreciated greenery that is so rare in Paris.
