An eclectic wallpaper collage takes over the offices of Barcelona's Design Hub
We have already determined that wallpaper is back, but Barcelona-based architecture firm BAAS Arquitectura has taken the trend to a new level. For the new Disseny Hub Barcelona offices, the firm created a bespoke patchwork of wallpaper that entirely covers the space.
The Design Hub offices house employees of the Barcelona Centre de Disseny (BCD), el Fomento de las Artes y el Diseño (FAD) and the Museo del Diseño. Several important design events are held in the space, so it is only coherent that the offices also have a strong design element. And what a better representation of design, fads, and temporality than wallpaper?
In addition to the visually interesting wallpaper collage, the architects used indirect light and subtle details, such as the creation of a cornice, to temper the immensity of the space, making it a comfortable, multifunctional office.
