DANSK MODE & TEXTIL BY HELLEFLOU

Neo-classic architecture joins contemporary Danish design for the headquarters of Dansk Mode & Textil and Kopenhagen Fur

Danish design studio HelleFlou has redesigned the headquarters of the Danish Fashion and Textile Association (Dansk Mode & Textil) and Kopenhagen Fur. Located in the Frederiksstaden neighborhood of central Copenhagen, the offices are housed in the Hansen Mansion, a heritage-listed home built in 1835. The offices are also a part of KiCK (Kopenhagen Internationale Center for Kreativitet), a center that seeks to create growth and new opportunities in fashion as well as encourages the development of new ideas and techniques in the industry.

Keeping in mind the neo-classic mansion in which the offices were built, the design studio created a modern Danish design scheme that respects the original building. Touches of gold on the doors, light fixtures and wall panels remain classic and complement the soft grays and pinks of the more contemporary design.

Blond wood and pure white dominate the decor, reflecting light and illuminating the interior. Minimal design furniture dots the interior, cultivating an understated refinement that perfectly suits the neo-classic flourishes. The result is an elegant melange of new and old.
