With an exterior that is almost more modern art museum than personal residence, BT House by Studio Guilherme Torres is an exercise in the extraordinary. Located in São Paulo, Brazil, the house is defined by austere lines, gentle overhangs and ample access to the phenomenal gardens. Wooden mashrabiya screens that adorn the top floor, acting as a sort of curtain and encouraging air flow while limiting the intense southern Brazilian sunlight. The interior is all bright colors and fun, dotted with Eames accoutrements and playful decoration. A large wooden patio and elongated swimming pool complete the perfectly Brazilian picture.
