Architect duo Patrick Jouin & Sanjit Mankun converted this historical site dating back to the Middle Ages into an exquisite hotel. The Abbaye de Fontevraud, rich in history, was once the burial site of the English King Richard I or ‘Lion Heart’ as he’s remembered. Visitors can see his recumbent statue situated at the heart of the abbey.
