A tiny surprise in Gothenburg, Sweden

Big things come in small packages. Or so they say. Swedish architect Torsten Ottesjö put the theory to test with his apartment 17. At only 17 meters squared, Ottesjö was facing a seemingly insurmountable space-saving challenge. What he created, with the help of Lars Isestig, is a multi-level space that includes a bedroom, bathroom with shower, fully-equipped kitchen, office, living room/guest bedroom and dining area. It also doesn’t skimp on storage space. Ottesjö even integrated drawers integrated into the stairs! Are you impressed yet? We certainly were. The best part is that the apartment is still luminous and airy.
