emmanuelle moureaux displays furla's S/S’16 collection underneath ombre tree canopies

architect emmanuelle moureaux and furla have continued their collaboration with the presentation of the fashion house’s 2016 spring summer collection held at the zojoji temple in tokyo.

their previous presentation for the autumn and winter collection saw moureaux adopting the concept of weightlessness; illustrated by suspended circular mobiles.

for this occasion, visitors are taken on a journey where they arrive through a dark reception and emerge into a ‘spring blooming world’ named ‘hanami’. intricately sliced pieces of colored paper have been densely gathered into cylindrical shapes and wrapped around the interior columns. organized in ombre hues, the paper installation – made to symbolize tree trunks – evokes the impression of natural light filtering through flowers and leaves. simultaneously, furla’s handbags have been carefully displayed on shelves underneath the vibrant canopy to invite vistores to view the products and linstill the feeling of the welcoming spring and summer.
