Trio Apartamenty in Warsaw - a shining example of Guardian glass in modern Polish architecture
Bertrange, Luxembourg, December 17, 2015 – The modern apartment buildings that long have dotted the skylines of major European and American cities are now gaining popularity in Poland, as well. The designs of the structures arising in Poland are in many cases more interesting, beautiful and inventive than their Western counterparts. The Trio Apartamenty building in Warsaw is just such an example, and it uses Guardian SunGuard® SuperNeutral® 70/41 glass.
The luxurious Trio Apartamenty development is among the most exclusive in Warsaw. Located in the heart of the capital, it was designed by JEMS Architekci and built by Eco Classic. The project serves both as a high-end residential building and a cultural hotspot. It hosts concerts of popular artists, art exhibitions and fashion shows. The building not only appeals to citizens of Warsaw, but also has won many prestigious awards, including 2010 Best Residential Development and TOP Builder, 2011.
The development has earned recognition primarily due to its unusual, triangular body, glittering façade, and a clever combination of creative architect's vision with maximum functionality and numerous facilities for its residents. The building has been adapted to the street layout, respects other buildings of the capital, and blends perfectly into the historic character of the area. The part of the building that is adjacent to Pokornej and Stawki streets rises 18 floors up, forming of tower looming over the main, eight-story part of the complex. The arcade section of the building, with only four floors, is the lowest. The entire structure is coherently tied together by a modern facade with vertical window openings and loggias, reminiscent of blocks offset against each other.
Glass that fits all needs
To create a building that met the highest standards of luxury, the Trio Apartamenty developers opted for the highest quality construction and finishing materials available. Their extensive use of glazing on the body of the building made the material choice even more important. They opted for Guardian SunGuard SN 70/41 glass, for this project.
Guardian SunGuard SN 70/41 glass demonstrates excellent selectivity, high levels of natural light transmission (up to 70%) and solar control (absorption of thermal energy of 27 and g value 41%). The glass also offers exceptional clarity and superb color rendering index. This means that people working and living inside the building are provided with optimal thermal comfort and brightness levels without compromising the view of the panorama of Warsaw.
The SunGuard SN 70/41 glass choice for Apartamenty Trio may also help to ensure an excellent energy balance in the building by providing an exceptional temperature control which, when combined with high selectivity, may translate into less demand for heating in the winter season.
