studio zero85 elevates trabocco beach house above the italian coastline

This private dwelling in the coastal italian city of pescara is suspended above the beach, providing expansive views out to sea.

designed by studio zero85, ‘trabocco’ is named after the region’s old fishing machine structures, and comprises a simple gabled volume perched on an elevated steel jetty.

Internally, a simple 4.5 meter space doubles as both living and sleeping accommodation, with a small kitchen positioned at the rear of the plan. timber decking surrounding the beach house provides additional external areas that frame sweeping vistas along the picturesque coastline.
