Remarkable solar-powered La Maison 14 in Paris boasts seven levels of sustainable innovation

This six-story house in Paris is a solar-powered, self-automated home with serious sustainable features. Re-designed and equipped with high-performance technology, La Maison 14 brings green living to a new level of innovation with automation, rainwater harvesting, geothermal energy use and smart lighting. It is currently listed for sale.

A six-story eco-friendly home offering 663 square meters (7,136 square feet) of sustainable living, La Maison 14 is the newest property listing from Paris-based property investment firm BM-Finance. The house, located at the heart of the famous Montparnasse in Paris, is comprised of seven levels in sum – six floors of living areas, including a reception hall, living room, dining room, kitchen, bedrooms, a sauna, a swimming pool, a wine cellar, a garage, several terraces and balconies.

The house is equipped with a self-automated system that controls lighting, alarms, and the swimming pool. The heating and cooling ventilation is adjusted automatically by geothermal energy sensors. In addition, there is an Energy Recovery Ventilation (EVR) system which cleans and recycles air from the swimming pool, thus creating a constant flow of fresh air without zero loss in thermal comfort.

Solar panels are used to heat water sustainably, while a rainwater harvesting system collects runoff through the terrace floors to then irrigate the surrounding trees and landscaping and provide water for the home’s plumbing system. If you have a cool €14 million laying around, it could be yours.
