Boozhgan architecture studio sculpts a dynamic brick facade for the haghighi house

the haghighi residence building in tehran, designed by local practice boozhgan architecture studio, stems from the client’s original brief including above all the consideration for ‘nature’ and ‘house’.

The structure is comprised of four stories that include residential units, a parking area, service area, and lobby. the building is pushed to the southern end of the site to preserve three existing sycamore trees. throughout the design, natural light is brought into the interior spaces- an important element to homogenize the ambiance of private and public spaces on each level, imbuing a sense of ‘home’ whether you are in your apartment or int he lobby. the outside exhibits its most notable feature, a brick wall of checkered patterns utilizing relief and projecting blocks creating a highly textured and unique facade in the neighborhood context.
