SALVA APARTMENT

This Pied-a-terre is situated in Poble Sec, a charming district of Barcelona.

The apartment underwent a total redistribution and refurbishment in order to meet the client´s needs. All small rooms were joint to form a free floating singular space, with the bedroom and bathroom set behind a diagonal running line throughout the apartment. Elegant materials such as marble and oak parquet were used in combination with light colors to give the spaces a simple but noble appearance.

The main issue was to fill the spaces with light. Therefore a big glass wall was inserted to bring in light into the bathroom. Furthermore 3 large panels can be opened to connect the bedroom with the large living room.

Instead of wasting space for a guest bedroom, we opted for a built in bed that can be taken out when guests stay over.

Whereas the ceiling and upper part of the walls stayed exposed and painted in white, the walls were newly covered, and the corners curved to soften the boxines of the space, being painted in a light grey.
