Edmund Room by Jos Blom and Jasper Eustace
In the middle of Edmund, a room at Amsterdam’s Volkshotel, several elements made of wood and rubber have been clustered into a mountain inspired shape.
Part of a one-off room at the new Volkshotel by Amsterdam-based architects Jos Blom and Jasper Eustace, Edmund’s free-standing mountain contains all the hotel room functionality guests expect: like a bed, a bathroom and a wardrobe.
Integrated stairs take guests to the absolute highlight, a pinnacle bathtub with adjacent cactus garden. To complete the effect, “a dazzling mountainscape panorama covers the walls” says Blom and Eustace.
