A Tribute at the Triennale

“A Tribute to Domus 1000”, the exhibition organised by Domus as part of celebrations for the magazine’s 1000th issue comes to the Triennale. #21triennale

After the success of the preview presented during Design Week in the ten windows of the Benetton store in Milan’s Piazza del Duomo, “A Tribute to Domus 1000” is ready to go back on public display. Organised in collaboration with United Colors of Benetton and Fabrica, which is once again responsible for the special display design, the exhibition will be on show at the Triennale di Milano.

This historical location will host all 16 special editions created for the occasion by international design companies: from Agape to Alessi, from Arper to Artemide, but also B&B Italia, Danese, Fabrica, Fiam, FontanaArte, Fratelli Guzzini, Kartell, Marazzi, Rimadesio, Smeg, Tubes and Unifor. Each firm has re-proposed a successful object from their collections in the two PANTONE® Colours of the Year 2016 (PANTONE 13-1520 Rose Quartz and PANTONE 15-3919 Serenity), shades that inspire balance, order and tranquillity.

The exhibit design envisages a series of islands arranged in the space of the Impluvium and an interplay of overlapping panels, forming a three-dimensional route that leads visitors on a discovery of the iconic objects on display.

An exhibition that tells of colour and experimentation, an installation with a strong visual impact, and an open book on the history of design.
