#RESIDENTIAL ARCHITECTURE PROJECTS

Casas Sete Cidades

The project concerns in the construction of 27 cost-controlled houses, being the essential aim of the project to ensure a cost-optimization quality of dwellings.

The rationality of space solotions tries to ensure the satisfaction of the exercise of the family life activities. The houses are developed in two floors with the use of the attic and an outdoor oven, characteristic elements of the Azorean Micaelense northwest typologies.

The site with a total area of 13.202 sqm is located in a transition zone of the Sete Cidades village, bordering the West with an existing street layout, with a consolidated front of two-floors housing, to the north with a house and a number of lots of agricultural occupation, the East with an agricultural plot and the South with a wooded lot and without buildings.

When defining the streets are created two main axis West / East serving the access streets to lots in the North / South direction.

The houses, 18 (T3) and 9 (T2) are organized in the lot towards North / South, oriented either West / East or East / West, working these in quincunx in the resulting block of organization of the streets, to provide an unobstructed view for the lagoon.
