Car Park

This project set out to redefine the typical car park. In order to achieve this, the building envelope was divided into a number of separate bands to avoid the dominant character buildings of such large volume tend to exude. The project also met the requirement to turn the car park into a public space by transforming the bands of the facade into an artificial landscape on the roof. These create a public garden and square. The result is a completely new type of multi-storey car park.

This project proves that car parks do not have to be inhospitable places. Instead, it has turned the car park into a public, common meeting point.«
