Colorful “Branches” Cover This New Kindergarten Building In Japan
emmanuelle moureaux architecture + design have recently completed Creche Ropponmatsu, a new kindergarten located in a residential area in Fukuoka city, Japan.
On the facade of the kindergarten there are 63 white trees that are 13 ft (4m) high that are covered in colorful branches that wrap the building. 22 colors have been used to create the fun facade.
From the inside of the kindergarten, the children can see the colorful branches through the floor-to-ceiling windows.
Colors continue in the interior with the stairs that connect the four floors. This time 18 colors cover the walls surrounding the stairs and change as they travel up and down them.
