#RESIDENTIAL ARCHITECTURE PROJECTS

CASA FARO

Not far from Marsala and Trapani lies Favignana, a marvellous butterfly shaped island, that has fascinated its visitors since ancient times. Its name comes from the latin Favonio, the west wind known by the Greeks as Zephyrus.

It’s here, surrounded by a Mediterranean garden full of local species and carefully designed in the Sicilian tradition that you can find Casa Faro, a refined detached villa constructed by the Milanese studio NCB ARCHITETTURA.

All the quarters gravitate towards the central patio, which is the focal point of the house connecting the different areas. “Mediterranean architecture relates directly to the external areas; geometries that define spaces and hierarchies are always conceived on the basis of light, shade and the winds. Hence our work to connect the inside to the outside. The pergola while providing shade can also be seen as an open-air room”.

The strong references to the local architecture, evident in the choice of materials and light tones, strives to find a balance between lack of ornamentation and luxury, between precision and elegance.

Both apartments are equipped for every need and guests can enjoy absolute privacy while breathing in 15.000 sqm of life giving garden that envelopes them in a silent embrace.
