#RESIDENTIAL ARCHITECTURE PROJECTS

V HOUSE

The first child of this young family was born while this house was under construction making it the place where all the strategies the firm has come up to, took place.

The project is developed in three levels, using the basement as garage, for man must be above automobiles at all times. This cellar is also the place for storerooms, equipment and service rooms, allowing the existence of these two alternate worlds for the dwellers.

One stairway becomes central axis connecting all three levels, and first floor develops in a North-South way, in an attempt to conquer the land longitudinally, holding an office with complete bathroom which can be used as family room and occasionally guest room. In an independent manner, there is another bathroom, this one much smaller, and then comes the kitchen as a distributor that feeds all areas: living and dining rooms which by means of a large window wonderfully enjoy the garden, and a terrace that transforms the meeting areas into a transitional point between interior and exterior, inside and outside, natural and not natural. This terrace allows a joyful use of all day zones because it is ideal for family or friend gatherings.

The stairway, suggested as vertical axle, leads onto the third floor where a family TV room comes first, but then is the frontal façade reserved for the main bedroom with walk in bathroom and closet, protected from sunlight with a metallic shutter designed by Adrian Guerrero which comes up all the way from the basement where another sculpture from the same artist is placed. Meantime the South façade is where two other bedrooms with walk in bathrooms and closets are.

The birth of this first child is for the family, the reason to be of every single part of this plant and the course for the project in order to be the scenario of a family life where all the memories of this little one will take place, the context for all joyful and fun moments, as well as everything that shall make up his childhood within this house.
