MIDDELLAAN

On the instruction of Singelveste Allee Wonen, AREC Robben Architecten BNA carried out renovation work on the complex in the centre of Breda on Middellaan.

Major improvements were made to a total of 215 dwellings during the period of March 2010 until the start of July 2011.

With the renovation of the complex at Middellaan, accessibility and security have been considerably improved, with adaptations to entrance halls and new signposting. The dwellings now comply with the requirements of the Police Hallmark Secure Housing (Politiekeurmerk Veilig Wonen).

In addition to a complete renovation of the entrance halls, Singelveste AlleeWonen also took out the existing uPVC doors and windows in all dwellings and replaced these with new frames in a new colour and insulated glass was also fitted throughout, with the aim of saving residents money in terms of energy costs.
