World’s first multi-story skatepark coming to Kent, England
The southeastern county of Kent, England will be the home of the world’s first multi-story skatepark, if all goes according to plan.
Guy Hollaway Architects have designed an impressive facility that will house a variety of activities for local fitness-minded folks, yet the promise of a multi-tier, concrete canvas upon which skaters can paint ollies, sidewinders, and kickflips is just totally sick, dude.
It’s a wonder no one has attempted to build a multi-story skate structure like this before, especially given how many parking garages skateboarders have been kicked out of since the dawn of the sport.
The urban area is expanding its promotion of health and wellness, especially via the impressive Folkestone Sports Centre. This is where the skatepark is set to be built, where it will also house facilities for boxing and rock wall climbing. Plans also include a rooftop terrace to soak in the view of the nearby neighborhoods.
