Argentina's airy RM House floats elegantly above the grassy Pampas landscape

This house is a beautiful, breezy property in Argentina that seems to be floating above the ground.

Located in the coastal city of Mar de Ajó, the RM House is award-winning architects Alric Galindez latest design. Its long, glazed structure is the result of prioritizing the surrounding views, which overlook the Atlantic Ocean and the grassy Pampa's landscape. Because the home is floating above the ground, it has minimal impact on the landscape.

The stunning RM House in Mar de Ajó is 230 miles drive from Argentina’s capital, Buenos Aires. It was designed as a summer and weekend retreat from all the hustle and bustle of daily city life. Featuring stunning views on both sides, the home stands on a system of poles that merge on a single concrete foundation causing minimal impact on the ground.

Made from standard materials like corrugated metal and local wood, its glazed facades allow plenty of sunshine in as well as a cool, crossed ventilation marine breeze. Topped by an A-line roof, it features an open, sunny terrace on the seaside, while it’s sheltered from northern winds and storms on the other side.

A seaside retreat with two completely different landscapes, the RM House offers inhabitants a beautiful place to relax in the Pampas.
