Versatile prefab Passion House M1 snaps together in just two days

Whether it’s a guesthouse or a private getaway, the versatile Passion House M1 could be the perfect prefab for your house addition needs.

Designed by Estonian studio Architect 11 as part of a series of modular housing options, the Passion House M1 can be assembled in just two days and comes fully furnished with modern amenities. Although M1 is the smallest in the series, the 51.4-square-meter abode doesn’t give up on living large—the energy-efficient model includes an optional sauna.

The environmentally friendly Passion House M1 is constructed mainly out of wood, with a glulam structure frame and cross-laminated-timber wall panels. The windows are made from wood-aluminum and the furnishings are constructed from painted or laminated MDF boards. The unit’s energy efficient design uses passive ventilation and solar shading instead of an air conditioning system.

Built for Nordic climates, the all-inclusive prefab home can handle heavy snow loads. Rockwool wall insulation fortifies the homes against the winter elements. A fully automated system uses solar heating during the spring and autumn months.

The Passion House M1 comes in two versions: one with a large sauna or a large bedroom. All units are fully furnished with two fold out beds, an open-plan kitchen and living room, bathroom, wrap-around timber deck, and showers.
