Tsubasa Iwahashi Architect refurbished a beauty salon in Osaka prefecture finding an architectural solution that allows the owner to keep his habit to greet passers.
“If there is a form of the ideal to the shop, it may be to blend naturally as part of the town.” Argues Tsubasa Iwahashi, designer of this beauty salon in Sakai, Japan.
The project is a renovation of the beauty salon Folm Arts ten years after the opening.The shape of the building, similar to an house, reflects the image of intimate connection with the town. In the shop front a big windows allows the owner to greet passers, as usual.
Through this shop window the architects created also a connection between the town and the shop.
