The Portola Valley Barn by Walker Warner Architects

Walker Warner Architects have designed the Portola Valley Barn, a contemporary house in California, that features weathered wood siding and a tin roof.

The architects worked with interior design firm Selby House Ltd, to create an interior that would be suitable for both entertaining as well as relaxation.

Large windows, like in the kitchen, perfectly frame the view of the garden and hills in the distance.

In the master bedroom, which is large enough to have a small sitting area, the trees outside add a pop of green to the neutral color palette.

In the bathroom, crisp white walls have been paired with polished surfaces, dramatic lighting, and frosted windows for a contemporary appearance.
