#RESIDENTIAL ARCHITECTURE PROJECTS

Almeria

The Almeria Project, located on the edge of the Coronado Historic District in Phoenix, AZ, was finished in June of 2014.

The house was in poor form due to termite infestation. After a complete overhaul and structural rebuild, the house was given a modern industrial look. In doing so, the ceiling were exposed to show the new trusses and ductwork added. Barn doors using reclaimed wood and steel divide the room openings. A glass garage door was added to bring the outdoors into the kitchen. All electrical was placed in conduit, as well as, the copper plumbing in the bathroom to give a "warehouse" feel to the interior. The cabinets were handmade along with the butcher block countertops. Smooth drywall, bright white paint, and matte concrete floors helped add to the modern look of the house. The project was completed in 4 months.
