The bed in this amazing apartment drops down from the ceiling

Simon Woodroffe, the entrepreneur and designer behind YO!Sushi and YOTEL, just unveiled the Yo!Home - a compact living space that fits an entire two-bedroom house into a tiny apartment.

The transforming has a master bedroom that can be lowered down over a sunken living room area, while counters and dining tables fold up and to the side in the kitchen.

The great thing about YO!Home is that the rooms can be reconfigured using sliding partitions which provide all the amenities of an average house squeezed into one space without generating clutter. This smart design is not only practical and economical, it also has an elegant and sleek appearance that makes transformable small spaces sexy. The concept was first launched a few years ago at the 100% Design London show and the start-up has since opened a flagship branch in New York.

Twelve movable parts slide and shift thanks to a mechanism similar to that used in stage scenery. This feature gives the apartment two bedrooms, living rooms, a cinema, an office, a kitchen and dining room, a bathroom and a wine cellar. The designer created two amazing prototypes for the design which promises to revolutionize urban living.
