7 Bright red shipping containers repurposed as modern offices in Israel

Tel Aviv studio Potash Architects repurposed seven shipping containers and transformed them into a modern office located near Israel's capital.

The stacked red boxes accommodate office spaces, event areas and tech rooms, with one of the containers positioned at a 30-degree angle, housing a scissor stair.

The building is located at the Port of Ashdod cargo area, located about 40 kilometers south of Tel Aviv. The shipping containers, once used in the transport of products and raw materials, were repurposed and adapted to provide offices and technical facilities for the Port administration. The architects had to join the steel boxes and various ways-a reinforced concrete shelter was introduces and a connection between two of the containers.

Apart from the tilted one, which houses the stair, the rest of the building, consisting of six containers, accommodates the main administrative content. Four on the ground floor house the event space on one side, and offices and tech rooms on the other. The upper floors also host offices, while both levels have toilets.
