Inspiring LOSEV center in Turkey teaches visitors how to lead sustainable lives

MuuM Architects designed this unique educational and recreational complex for the dry Anatolian plains in the heart of Turkey.

The LOSEV Natural Life Center & Drugless Therapy Institute will promote a sustainable lifestyle based on organic agriculture, permaculture and eco-friendly waste and compost management and teach visitors how to lead a more sustainable lifestyle.

The Health and Education Foundation for Children with Leukaemia acquired the lot and decided to create an inspiring complex where people can get in touch with nature and engage in a variety of activities that gives them practical knowledge and tools for achieving a more balanced and healthy lifestyle.

The master plan comprises various accommodation facilities, small conference rooms, open-air event spaces, animal barns, organic farms and a small garden where people can buy organically grown produce. Through the use of natural materials, the architects succeeded to create architecture that is embedded into the natural surroundings. In addition to the residential and production facilities, the complex will include eco-friendly systems for waste management and a small-scale energy production facility.
