Metal Screens With A Leaf Motif Adorn Both The Interior And Exterior Of This Home

Architecture firm atelier NgNg, has designed a vertical home in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, that’s located on a small narrow lot that measures in at just 13×29 feet (4x12m).

The owner, someone who’s passionate about gardening wanted an airy and relaxing space to spend time in after a tiring working day, with abundant green areas to satisfy her hobby back in the countryside.

Drawing from the owner’s love of gardening, screens with a leaf motif were added throughout the design of the house, with the first hint of it being the arched doors that greet visitors as they arrive.

Stepping through to the interior, there’s a partial screen that acts as a divider between the living room and the dining area/kitchen.

On another floor, a small home office has been set up off the hallway, with the wall of the bedroom acting as a decorative accent wall.

In the bathrooms, the screen has been used as a backdrop for vanity and as a way to highlight the doorway.

A light well that follows the stairs to the top of the house is a central accent that casts shadows throughout the home.

At the top of the house, there’s an outdoor space with an arched arbor, with plants that complement the leaf motif.

Here’s a closer look at the leaf design featured throughout the home.
