Extensive Hanging Plants Soften The Use Of Concrete In This Homes Design

MIA Design Studio has completed a home in Vietnam, for their client who wanted not only a comfortable but also convenient living space situated in the center of a hectic city.

The home, which has a concrete structure, is softened by the use of lianas (or climbing vines).

The vines hide the concrete, creating a tropical paradise, and a fresh green filter.

Living spaces, which hover above the mini-garden, provide the feeling of walking on bridges.

A roller shutter system has been included to create the separation between outside and inside, providing protection on rainy days.

Natural light filters through the plants into the interior of the home.

The interior, which showcases the concrete form, also includes wood elements like the stairs and minimalist furnishings.

In the bedroom, the custom bed frame has been designed with a desk on the back of the headboard.
