Emmanuelle moureaux injects color into furla's floating installation in tokyo

Presenting their A/W’16 collection at the zojoji temple in tokyo is the italian fashion house furla

Deriving from the theme ‘explosion of joy’, architect emmanuelle moureaux has applied her signature use of color to create the installation named ‘dance’. the venue itself is a large and airy space which has been left white to focus on the fashion accessories on display, but also highlight the suspended mobiles.

seemingly ‘dancing in the air’, the colored circular-cut outs is combined with the letters spelling out ‘furla’ where the scheme as a whole, instills a sense of weightlessness. as guests meander around the space, the furla pieces have been organized on floating disc-like tables while the delicate mobiles create an interplay of light and shadow–inspired from a term in zen buddhism ‘ichigo-ichie’- this translates to ‘treasure every encounter, for it will never recur‘.

the theme is ‘explosion of joy’
