Phongphat ueasangkhomset's triangle house in thailand
The ‘triangle house’ is a large-family dwelling not far from bangkok’s metropolitan area. designed by thai architect phongphat ueasangkhomset, the residence is simple and modest, with special attention paid to communal activities
The plot contains two structures, one in an L shape, the other an I, which form a triangular shape — the land itself is a triangle, as are the sloped roofs on both structures. it’s not too hard to figure out where the name comes from.
together, the ‘triangle house’ contains a large living and dining area, several large terraces, a four car garage, pond, interior courtyard, five bedrooms, three bathrooms, and two powder rooms. there’s also a secondary kitchen in the smaller structure. the interior is modest throughout, using a palette of white and grey paints, with natural white oak. rather then spend more on materials, the home is focused on function, with extra care put into the planning of spaces in relation to one another.
