the first phases of the scheme was to establish a diverse space merging the lush scenery with privacy while on a 3.4 hectare site between a road and a beach. three types of accommodation were created: the beach villas, bungalows, and a multi-storey hotel building. named the ‘babylon’, the hotel is the structure which is distinctively covered in interspersed greenery made of a structure of concrete louvers. this layer of draping plants softens the use of concrete while creating the separation from the road outside; enhancing the privacy of the resort. comprised of three floors with 32 rooms, the arrangement is based on an L-shaped where the balconies of the guest rooms overlook the outdoor pool at the heart of the plan.
