rojkind arquitectos + cadena y asociados reflects síclo's cycle concept with stepped interior

síclo, an indoor cycling concept have commissioned michel rojkind from rojkind arquitectos and ignacio cadena of cadena + asociados concept design, to project their energetic and fun fitness experience into their new space in mexico city.

through the fully glass façade, a stepped volume composed of acoustically sealed concrete dominates the triple-height space. entering from the sides, two classrooms for the cycling classes are based within. simultaneously, the space above acts as a ‘blank canvas for the mind and spirit’, where the stepped platform is adaptable as a place for rest, conversation, screenings and workshops. composed of white concrete, this versatile stairway is complemented with brightly colored cushions that further multiplies the possible uses of the interior space.

the poly-chromatic cushions gives the otherwise minimalistic space a burst of color
