Beautique Qortuba

OFFICE 313 was approached by beautique to design its latest store.

Situated in a relatively quiet and suburban neighborhood, Beautique latest branch seeks to serve a a new set of clients that prefer a quieter alternative to the beautique's city branch.By situating it in a relatively quiet neighborhood, the design presents itself as a quieter, calmer experience that seamlessly fits into the suburban fabric. Working with a relatively unusual layout, the main challenge was to construct a space that simultaneously provides harmony and space fluidity whilst also respecting privacy.

The design approach for the second Beautique branch was a continuation and extension of the brand's design identity.Collectively, we wanted to explore the notion of true disconnection. A space where clients can momentarily unplug and unwind from the daily woes of life. Therefore, we were intent on creating a space that enhances holistic wellbeing of our clients..

The main design challenge was to layout all the functions in a way that made sense both aesthetically and programmatically. This was unusually difficult due to the unusual space layout.Following a series of iterations, we developed a sequence of vaults that promote function whilst also delineating each specific space.

In terms of space, the projects is divided by a series of curated vaults These vaults serve as the main element that delineates each space's function. By using the vaults as the defining element, this allowed us to utilize the unusual layout and provide a sense of fluidity and order to a relatively unordered space. The vaults are fitted with storage space, shelving and hidden lighting the gently illuminate the space below.Curved seating, shelving and mirrors feature throughout the salon.

Programmatically, The project articulates three main areas: Reception, acrylic tables, Nail treatment stations and hair stations. The project's material palette consists of white-cast concrete, Stucco, and natural stone. The warm material palette enhances the brand's ethos.The resulting look is one of tranquility, serenity, and luxury.
